Hello, our Bystronic Laser cutter is having problems with certain programs. The issue with some of these programs is the head is not sensing the metal correctly and constantly bouncing/ getting stuck while it is cutting the sheet. Does anyone know the what is causing this issue? My thoughts are maybe it is in the program itself being sent to the machine, but I wouldn't know where to find it. The CPU we're using is running Windows XP to show how old the programming software we're using is. Any info that could help would be greatly appreciated.

Watch the motor shaft on the z axis, does it move smoothly while it's cutting or is it jumping? It's either a sensing issue or the bearings in the z axis
