Anyone know how to reduce the overshoot on a Z axis that occurs only on tactile mode?

Putting a block of wood underneath the sensor, the nozzle will bounce below the block by about 15mm, then return to the correct position.
I have set the linear pot, and centered the offset pot, for the tactile foot.
Using feeler gauges, the nozzle height for tactile mode is correct at different heights, and responds correctly to the offset pot.

I can set the capacitive mode (Conles) gains fine with maximum speed, zero overshoot, at low/high/normal nozzle distance heights.

I can see adjustment pots on the very back card of the Z axis servo, but unsure on how to get to these to see if it will reduce the gain.

Need to stop this as when the z axis calibrates the nozzle is crashing hard into the calibration block and breaking ceramics.
Or punches hard into the sheet on a pierce when using the tactile mode.
