Hi,

When trying to cut any material on our laser we are having issues with it "Skating" across the surface and not cutting through regardless of what i try with params..Over the many years of working with lasers i have never seen anything quite like this. Even the experts are unsure.

Put it in local when it starts skating - power to 100% and i get 752 instead of 4000.
5 mins later do the same again everything is fine.

30 Min vac test - Stays on 0

When the fault is present i have noticed the standby current is down to 10. Power 380 Pres 180. If i try to cut like this it skates across the surface. If i leave the machine 5 mins current goes back to 15 power to 770 and press 180, this then cuts fine.

Sometimes it goes to cut and tubes out straight away. Sometimes as soon as you turn it on without even cutting.

Really losing patience, any help would be greatly appreciated

Jason

not familiar with bystronic, but that sounds like a stressed output coupler.
