C36000 vs. C3602

I have a supplier that is asking to add JIS C3602 as an alternative material to C36000 brass, which we have always spec'd on our drawings. They provided a detail breakdown of the properties and I noticed that the JIS C3602 iron content (fe) was higher by .15%.

Will a higher content make the part more brittle? Is .15% anything I should even be concerned about?

Increased iron content will effect the magnetic characteristics of the brass, which for electrical motor rotor bars could be s problem from my days way back when in power generation. Can you tolerate this? What is the end use? You really need more information before deciding on a substitution.
 
In general, the higher allowance for Fe in C3602 (0.5 max vs. 0.35 max for C36000) is not detrimental. Are you intending to do significant cold deformation to this product? If not, then I wouldn't be concerned about it being "brittle". metengr brings up a good point about magnetic characteristics, but otherwise, C3602 is a standard Asian grade that is equivalent to C36000 in North America. Technically, grade C3601 has a closer match on composition, with Fe = 0.3 max.
 
Metengr & TVP, thank you for your feedback. We are not planning on doing and significant deformation nor use this for magnetic purposes. I don't see why we can't accept what the supplier is suggesting. Thank you once again for your help.
