I have a C50h error message from time to time. When I select go to error it states, "A rack data error is detected. Check slot 12." Slot 12 on my SLC500/3 is the analog card slot feeding my IR sensors. I have changed out the rack, analog card and checked my terminal block harness for problems. Can the issue be in one of my IR sensors? Has anyone seen this error code before and possibly know the cure base on this informatino?

Could be. Put a scope on it and see what kind of noise you are getting back from your IR sensors.

Here's what the manual has to say about it:

Probable cause:

"Either noise, lightning, improper grounding, lack of surge suppression on outputs with inductive loads, or poor power source."

So check to see if you have the rack well grounded, see if you are getting any spikes with the scope, and possibly try moving the card to a different slot.
