Hello, i have created a user interface in CATIA using CAA under Drafting workbench. So my question is , when i have multiple sheets in a drawing. How do i keep the command in show mode when i change sheet1 to sheet2 or any sheet manually. As i observed the UI getting close when i try to change the sheet manually.

Please let me know about this concern. Thanks in advance

Hello Little Cthulhu,

Thanks for the reply.
And yes, as you mentioned i have already tried it. Yet i do not see any change. I also checked with the in-built commands under drafting. I observed that those UI too got terminated. So is it possible to achieve by any other way?

Thanks in advance.

Nice that you've checked standard commands.
I'm afraid only DS knows what's possible and what's not...

Why would you need to switch sheets anyway?

The soul reason being for such a task is that, I managed to create a VB application wherein I would switch between the sheets keeping the userform always in show mode until it is closed. So wanted to reflect the same using CAA.

Is there any reason why you chose UI-activation over selection in apec tree? Do you want that sheet graphic to be displayed in active viewer?

Answer to the first part of your question would be, Yes ! since i have few other functionalities that the the command has to perform hence chose UI-activation part.

And yes, i need to display it in the viewer.

Thanks for your time Little Cthulhu, so is there any way to keep the focus on UI when i switch over other sheets?

Thanks for answering my questions. No, I don't think there's a way considering behaviour of built-in commands.

Actually, CAA Encyclopedia states that UI-activation invokes workbench and workshop change, in which case terminating a command seems to be a valid choice since command belongs to a workshop.
The only advice I have is if you're fine with really simplistic UI make it not a command, but a toolbar and use CATIAfrCmdPaletteOptions or CATIAfrPaletteOptions

Yes i think that can be done as well. Thanks for the information Little Cthulhu.
