The Engineer from my Company is informed from the Electrical Inspector of Ontario that - the Cable Armour of the Power TECK Cable can be treated as a PROTECTION BARRIER,and Power and Communication Cables can be installed on the same Cable Tray.
Is there any Canadian or American Electrical Standard describing this application ??
Thanks

The protection barrier is for different voltage class cables. U.S. rules require a barrier between conductor that are on the supply side of a service switch and other conductors.

However, cable armor is not considered to be protection against cable crushing and similar injuries.
