I hope the question is with regard to cable box in transformers.
There are different construction methods depending on the type of cable, direction of cable entry to cable box, type of oil to oil bushing used on trf etc.Generally speaking ,the cable box will have the oil to oil bushing (this can be OIP condenser bushing with bushing expansion chamber or better RIP dry type condenser bushing)from trf protruding in to it.132 KV cable will be terminated in the cable box on a cable pot head. In the days of PICLC cables pot heads were bulky with an expansion chamber on it.But with modern XLPE 132KV cables, cable pot heads are smaller and will be projecting in to it. Trf bushing termination and cable pot head termination will be connected by paper insulated flexible cable or insulated copper tube with provision for thermal expansion.Cable box will be connected to main conservator of trf through Buccholtz relay pipe. This is done to take care of oil expansion in cable box and to detect incipient faults in cable box. Where the spec calls for isolation of oil in trf and cable box(this is a must with oil impregnated paper insulated cables)separate conservator ,Buccholtz relay and breather pipe shall be provided for the cable box.
With the above construction a separate disconnectig chamber is quite superfluos and mounting on trf will be quite difficult. I have never seen a 132 Kv cable box with a separate disconnecting chamber even though technically not impossible.
An inspection window to connect the linking cable will be requird. The same or separate inspection windows for giving connection to cable pot head and trf bushing is also a must.
Different construction models are available. However the most popular is the "elephant trunk" arrangement, where the the whole cable box as fitted to trf will look like an elephant trunk, with cable run rising vertically from ground level to cable box .There are also constructions where the entire cable box is eliminated and the cable directly terminating on dry type cable pot head as fitted on trf! However this is a rare construction indeed.
