I am designing a structure which consists of a central mast and some stays for keeping it in column. Depending on load condition some of them may go slack. Is there a method in Pro/Mech to simulate such elements. Another problem comes when I have to calculate buckling modes. The solver looks for modes of the cable which are an order of magnitude lower than mast one. Is there a method for skipping these elements from calculus?
