Hello,

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has used CAD translators like Exchange by Delcam or Pro/Engineer 2D to DXF translator by Cadlink. Are these programs easy to use and what are the results like?

By the way, I'm using Solid Edge ST2.

Thanks.

Could you be more specific about what you are trying to do.

I have used Theorem Solutions here in the UK for translating Catia to Solid Edge (although we didn't actually buy the translation).
My previous employer recently used them to translate to Solid Edge from an AutoCad file created from a laser scan.
They have a range of solutions available online.

Hi,

Thanks for responding...

I have several Pro/E drawings and their associated models. However, I do not have Pro/E. I need to convert the 2-D Pro/E drawings into a format that is useable by Solid Edge ST2, such as DXF.

I'm looking for a relatively cheap software program that can convert the drawings. That is, open the Pro/E 2-D drawings and save them in DXF format.
