Hello all,

I'd like to know how the Flange rating of centrifugal pumps is calculated based on MAWP (Maximum Allowable Working Pressure).

Moreover, as you know the hydro-test usually is performed at lower temperatures than design or operating temperatures.

How the hydrotest pressure is calculated based on the water temperature that is used for test.

Do you have any reference, software or excel sheet regarding the a/m topic?

Thanks,

mehrdad,

this has all the signs of a student post??

you need to read and understand the flange rating code you are using - which one?
The issue about hydrotest temperature is related to temperature de-rating of the flanges MAWP or system MAWP which can vary by temperature - see your flange design code.

Any specific question come back
