Folks,

Is anyone familiar with the Calder Energy Recovery Turbine? Specifically, model no. RO-300-100-4? I'm trying to interpret the performance curve for it, however it's not labelled properly and I can't determine what its giving you. All I know is that Flow is on the Y-axis and Pressure on the X. There are 7 curves, im guessing at different speeds, but they dont tell you what those speeds are. Is anyone familiar with this device and its curves?

Thanks

It might be helpful to post the curves.

Yes I know..But I have to get it scanned first..As soon as I do I will post it

Is that the performance curve?

It almost looks to me that it's the set of curves to derive the efficiency derates, based on speed (Y axis) and pressure (X axis).

But I'm no ERT expert, so I could be way off base.

Well... it didn't help me to see those curves. Got the mfgr's phone number?

Yes, I am familiar with the Calder Pelton Wheel ERT. My company used them on our Reverse Osmosis High Pressure RO pump units. I have hard copies of the New Curves for the several of the models (RO-290, RO-310, RO-350) but not the RO-300. The Y-axis is not Pressure. If is the Turbine RPM. The X-Axis is head. The lines that you see on the graph are the performance lines which I believe correspond to different blade sizes for the turbine. The Calder Applications Group will determine this to optimize the efficiency of the ERT based on the flowrate and pressure of your reject water. Attached is scan of the Calder ERT Brochure. It provides more information than I can.

Or perhaps different turbine diameters....

Thank You curtis26 for the information regarding the graph. I will also review the document you have attached.
