hello,
i have one general query & may be this sound bit naive.
i am cad designer and now i want to learn CAM softwares so i can build parts from scratch and also be able to generate G-CODE. i have basic knowledge about CNC & I understand how it works & even i can read some of codes and aware of co-ordinates system. so my question is should i really need to learn to operate CNC machine For CAM programming. i can understand all basic CNC theoratical terms & will improve myself by the time. but my doubt is Should i learn CAM programming with just basic CNC operating knowledge. i want to know is it good method that i generate G-Code through CAM and forward it to CNC incharge in my company and they could modify it with functional reuirements.
