Can a CO2 laser cutting machine cut sheets of borosilicate thickness of 0.4 mm - 2 mm?

Hi Friends,

I am trying to buy a CNC CO2 laser machine for my workshop, one of my main questions is to know if this machine is capable of cutting sheets of borosilicate glass thickness of 0.4 mm - 2 mm.

The manufacturer of sheets of borosilicate informed me: the borosilicate can cut size by CO2 laser machines. and will have a very tight tolerance if by laser machine.

What does this mean?

Assurances mean little to nothing.

Ask the laser manufacturer to cut some glass to your specs using the machine they intend to supply.

... or ask them to put you in touch with a cutting service that has an example of that machine.

The third party might also be a good source of information about maintenance requirements and durability issues.

Thank you for taking the time to help me.

I took your hint and i asked another manufacturer of laser machines and informed me that this machine does not cut borosilicate and pyrex.
