Can a shear wall be load bearing 2

I want to make a shear wall however also have it be load bearing. Is this possible and or commonly done?

It's usually better if a shear wall is load bearing because it reduces hold down requirements on the tension side.

I mean most exterior walls are load bearing and shear wall.
