I am running into issues doing FEA for a project. It uses wood… and it seems ANSYS, fusion, and solidworks do not let me do wood for simulations (even if I input my own properties).
So here I am now trying abaqus. I was wondering before I start, is this possible? I am going to do vibration, impact, ingression, drop test simulations.
An engineering consulting firm suggested I use a plastic and input my own properties if it doesn’t let me use wood but from the results I can tell it’s unreliable.
TL;DR can I run simulations using wood?
