Hey,

I need a new system at work and I was going to look at a UNIX based system. Does anyone know if this will work on a WIN2003 based server? Also, does it look like windows (graphically) when using it. Can anyone list any advantages and dissadvantages of UNIX as opposed to WinXP ?

Thanks in advance.

If you plan to use SW, you can't use UNIX. SW only works in Windows.

UnIX commands are completely different than windows. Last time I seen UNIX was awhile back and it didn't look anything like XP does. There are not a lot of Apps I know of that even support it besides Pro-E, Catia, SDRC, and UG.
