Can anyone tell me how to apply ALE Adaptive meshing for dynamic/explicit

Hello Everyone

I am very much new in Abaqus, and not experienced of putting a nice question too...

My problem is.. I am carrying out a cutting simulation with Johnson-Cook material model, 3D stress-explicit-linear (C3D8R) element type and element deletion=YES option. when I run the simulation it shows excessive element distortion. I searched in this forum and other forum, everyone is telling to use ALE adaptive meshing. But no one has given proper steps or procedures to use the ALE adaptive meshing..


Can anyone tell me or give me any suggestion regarding this... will be appreciated greatly..

That is not the job of an online volunteer; it is, after all, *your* project. And you have certainly been pointed in the right direction.

The are at least three examples of adaptive meshing in Explicit in the Abaqus Examples manual that will help. Have a look through them.
