Can I get information of contour from a solid

Hi,
I have a solid which is made by extruding( prism) on a contour.
now, there is an api in CATGEO- girsct, it will give me the following things-
1. the plane of contour
2. the number of line or plane defining the contour.
3. contoru is closed or not.

but now i want the data related to contour like if contour is made of line, i should come to know that the element is line and also the start and end point of line.
like wise if element is circle, i should get corresponding data.

can anyone help
