Hi everyone, first of all sorry for my english...

What a I want to do is the release of to discs

Those discs are parallel and conected by bolts. there are also some pretensed string between them so that when the bolts "dissapear" te strings push the discs and separate them.
My problem is that i don't know how to simulate the moment where the bolts stop actuating.
The perfect thing would be fix both plates with a joint and tell the program to "delete" that joint in a certain moment but I think that that's not possible.
I've tried to put pairs of forces to cancel the string's pretension until the moment of the separation
but is not stable and that's not what i'm looking for
Is there any command to make a joint stop actuating?
or any alternetive solution?

thanks!!

I forgot to tell that I'm using adams to simulate this.
I don't know if I put the post in the correct forum, sorry

Yup, easy way is to use DEACTIVATE which is discussed in the SOLVER help.

Basically DEACT switches joints (or other things) off.

So the usual thing to do would be to run the model up until the bolts release, deactivate the bolts, and then continue to run the model. This is all controlled by the acf.
