Hi everyone,
We are a heat exhanger manufacturer and have a question regarding the use of Duplex steel tubes. Usually the tube-tube sheet connection is established by roller expanding of the tubes into the tube sheet. Cold deforming of over 5% of the tube is very common in this.
Now we have duplex steel tubes and dito tube sheet. And the NACE regulations are applicable (sour service). My questions are
1: Can I roller expand Duplex steel tubes, or am I obliged to use strength weld tube-tube sheet connection?
2. And if so, is it also possible when NACE is applicable (because of the deformation).
I would be very pleased if anyone could put me on the right track.
