Hi,

Can magnesium become magnetic if heated up to very high temperatures and under high pressures? or does it remain non-magnetic no matter what you do to it? Is there any way other than adding alloys to make magnesium magnetic?

Thanks,
Mike

No, magnesium will not become ferromagnetic under high temperatures and high pressures. It will remain paramagnetic.

What is your application? Maybe someone can suggest an alternative.
