Can not open attachments in this forum

My operating system is window 7, so where is my setting that will allow me to open attachments in JPG, PDF, DOC files in this forum. I had to reload my MS 2000 office CD and it appears that the problem arose from that point in time.

Every once in a while I will get an attachment that will not open in this forum. I too am using windows 7 premium.
A work around I have found, for this problem is to right click the save button, it will then expand to several save options , one of which is Save and open. "Save and open", then puts the item into a file of your choosing (I use a quarantine box in case there is anything nasty in it). I run anti virus then open the file . When you are done looking at the file you can delete it.

Thanks for the reply Berkshire. I tried your suggestion and it did not work. I then decided to again review the security folder under the internet option in the gear shape icon on the upper right side of the screen. I decided to select "reset all Zones to default level" and that opened the attachments in this forum as well as many internet sites that I could not open.

I guess both my method, and your eventual solution, depend on how high a level your security settings are at.
