Can POSER models be converted for use in Pro/Eng?

I'm using POSER 4 (Creative Labs) to model human anatomy and would like to import the models made into Pro/Eng 2000i for further design and prototyping. POSER can export models as DXF or 3DS files but the exported files are "shells" not solid models. I've tried converting the exported models to IGES files but these won't load in Pro/E. I have Pro/desktop too but neither the DXF or IGES files load correctly into this.

Does anyone know a way of processing DXF or 3DS shells for use as solid parts in Pro/e????? (my copy of Pro/e doesn't include surface modelling)

Any help would be much appreciated!!

I have tried also, but no luck. Poser exports in 3d wireframe, so you cant close any surfaces to make solids. Just wiremesh!!

Maybe exporting to 3DMax, there might be some surfacing options.

I have full-blown ProE, but can't close the wiremesh to make surfaces, unless I select 3 or 4 adjointing lines and close them off, but this is about 30 hours work!!!!
