I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this valve is and what its used for? As far as I can tell it's some kind of solenoid operated valve, but that's about all I can figure with my limited knowledge. It looks pretty specialized so its got me curious. Anything you guys could tell me would be great!

Eaton/Vickers can tell you, by means of cut sheets for the three valves stacked in the photo, or corresponding catalogs.

At least do a search for each of the model numbers on the tags; we can't see them in your image.

Come back if you still have questions _after_ doing a little of the work for yourself.

It's a pilot operated directional control valve.

CETOP 7 or NG size 16.

Pressure reducer and relieving valve in the middle and a linear transducer on the main spool to measure the position.
