Hi all you experts out there!

I'm trying to standardize valves. I've been calculating our valves according to ASME B16.34 because I "know" that this give the thickest body.
When our valves shall be designed acc. ASME VIII or EN 12516-2 could I then refer to some place where it's written that this is OK because B16.34 always gives the greatest wall thickness?

I'm very thankful for "any" kind of answer..

Wolfbrandt,
just for information, maybe you'll find useful to consider also the EN 13445 standard (compared to ASME VIII...) and to take a look at:
- Thread408-68611, even if it was written a year ago and the standards status has changed in the meantime;
- Thread748-100812 about "harmonized" European standards;
- Thread330-52569 for an example of comparison (about radiography and other NDEs).

Bye, 'NGL
