I need to change some of the lines style and weight in drawing views.I tried to change it by object display " and selecting the required faces or solid body in the drawing views. But some drawings line style and weight changed. But most of the cases by using "Object display (Ctr+J)" ,the line style and weight are not changing.

Are there any other options other than "view dependent edit" or "Object display (Ctr+J)" is the right option?

Thanks,

Tony Paul

You can do it using View Dependent Edit, but we need to know what version of NX your are on, as there have been changes recently with it.
There is lots on this forum pertaining to View Dependent Edit, as it has been brought up many times before, so if you do a search you may find what you need, but ask more if you need to.

If you want to change all the lines in a view, you can go into the view settings and change line types/weights for the visible lines, hidden lines, etc. If you want to change particular solids, you can use render sets. If you want to change individual lines, there is view dependent edit.

Using the tool “View Dependent Edit" is very time consuming because of very large assembly drawing.

The "render sets" is a good option but I am not able to hide edges hidden by other objects. In "render sets" the selected solid body's all edges are changing in to "dash lines" and visible in the view.
As per our requirement, I only want change edges visible in the normal view but render sets changes all the edges of selected body and shows in the view.

Is there any option in render sets to show only visible edges (not the edges hidden by other objects) of the selected body?

Note: The selected bodies are “wave linked geometry bodies" in the assembly.

Thanks,
