The FEA analyst uses a program that can handle only WF3 type *.prt files. I use WF 4, and cannot find a simple way to save the part as a WF3 .prt. Does anyone on here know?

Thanks.

Short of using the ATB (Associative Topology Bus), which always seems more trouble than it's worth, I would use STEP. There is no direct "save as" an earlier release in Pro/E. Never has been and probably never will be.

If you must have a WF3 file, load WF3 and use the plugin that allows WF3 to open WF4 files, then save it in WF3.

Thanks for the suggestions. We are currently using STEP files, but it would speed up the process if we could save as a WF3 *.prt.

Looslib, good idea. We're looking around now to see if we have a machine with the old WF3 still on it.
