thread561-303730

Hi

We have the same problem as the thread 561-303730 with error message "Cannot create the export dir/files" when we open a NX part from TC 8.3. We have recently uppgraded from TC 2007 to TC 8.
Our NX version is 6.0.5.3.

Did you get any answer? What was the solution?

Can you specify where the temp folders are located on your system, you can check this by RM click on my computer, properties, Advanced tab, on the bottom you will find system variables.
In User variables for .... (your user name) there should be a variable TEMP with value %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp something like this and TMP with value %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp
If there is no entry here it should be one in the System variables. If it points to an other directory verify your security settings (see if you have right/read permissions for this folder).

Best regards,

Michaël.

My TEMP and TMP value is set to %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temp and I have write access to that directory.

in the options menu from TC is the Check-out directory (under general) pointed to any of these directories?

I notice this in the thread 561-303730 and we have Check-Out directory set to c:\\temp

Or you made a typo or the directory is wrong? It should stated c:\temp not c:\\temp

Michaël.

Also the settings you refer to are in File - utilities - customer defaults --> Gateway - general - directories (see attachement)
