Cannot get PART FILTER - EXCLUDE to work ??

Hi All,

I am having a little problem getting PART FILTER - EXCLUDE to work correctly on an assembly.

I have created a filter called Engine, selected the assembly, then added a - or Exclude filter to remove 85% of what I don't need.

Now I have checked the online docs and the help shows a simple Venn Diagram, which appears to be quite straightforward.

However when I activate my filter the entire engine displays which of course takes some time to display.

If anyone who has used this can offer as suggestions as to what I am doing wrong, or where I might find the answer I would be grateful.
