Hey there.
I'm designing a cylinder head, and I have a lofted cut I'm running from the side of the cylinder head to the center of the cylinder head. I get the error "unable to creat contour geometry. Please check the loft section". I tried doing the loft again and unchecking "merge tangent faces" under "options" but I get the same error. If I try to pattern bodies, it patterns the entire cyinder head. I've got a picture attached.

Many thanks

Thanks for the suggestion- I just tried it and I'm getting an error that says "The selected features could not be patterned using a geometry pattern." I tried it with and without the tangent faces box checked when creating the loft- is there anything else I should do to make geometry pattern work? I've added a photo- thanks again.

Maybe loft as a surface or unmerged solid, then use combine or surface cut. You can combine or cut either before or after patterning.

I think it might have been easier to create one segment of the cylinder head, and then pattern the body, rather than how you're doing it. That being said, I'd agree with Tick's suggestions.
