Cannot save level of detail

Hi All
I seem to consistently get a message
" (assy) cannot e saved because a different level of detail is being edited. You must save (or close) that one before you edit this one."
I save all LOD's with no affect, and usually resort to a close or checkin/check out to allow the save or edit. Does anyone have any information on this mmessage. Thanks

I see that message when the assy I'm working on is used elsewhere and is currently open. This includes upper level assys and drawings that may be using a LOD of the assy being edited. Close what's open/where used and you should be able to save
