I'm using AutoCad 2002. Every once in a while, usually when I am working on a big drawing in which I have imported a lot of blocks and such, I get some "remainder" objects that I can not delete. What happens is that I bring in all of the parts I need to work with. When I am done, I delete what is not required any longer. However, once I delete them, there are usually small blocks (literal "blocks" not autocad blocks) or squares left all over where the objects used to be. They are recognized by autocad when I do a zoom-extents, but when I zoom in to further try to delete them, they disappear and can not be selected. I zoom-extents again and they are back. I have tried everything but can't seem to figure this one out.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?

Hi Fred,

did You try _qselect?

Trying to get a clear understanding here. Are you seeing the GRIPS or are you seeing little squares?

Borg...I am not seeing the grips. When I try to select I don't get the grips or any selection. I am seeing simply small squares the same color as the original part I deleted.

No Lothar. I'll see if that does the trick.

Lothar,
I tried the _qselect and that command actually selects the problem items if I do it by color. Very strange that _qselect will do it but no other command will. No the issue is all of the other items still in the drawing that are the same color...

Getting closer...

Thanks.

Is it possible to do a LIST after the qselect to see what they are?

I did the LIST and there are 2306 items. I guess what I'll have to do is change the colors of all of the items I want to keep an only have these small squares as the color they are now. Then I'll delete them that way.

Very strange. Has anyone ever seen this?
