Can't install DraftSight - Windows Installer Error 1271

This happened when updating, and no amount of my Windows kung-fu has been able to get around it. Has anyone here experienced this and fixed it?

And finally, I got it solved on my own today. I ran through the Windows registry and delete all occurrences of DraftSight and Dassault that were left in there from a previous version install. It was a 20-minute pain but it's done.
