Created a custom view in modeling. Go to drafing create a base view using that view. Try to created a projected view: it's not available. I've done this forever but I must have changed a setting somewhere. Any idea?

Answer to self: just realized I had Perspective View turned on when I created the view... duh. That's a new one.

By definitions, at least in terms of what constitutes a projection on a Drawing, perspective views are not valid as a projected view's parent. They are fine for providing illustrative and pictorial representations of your model, even if you decide to annotate them, just don't expect them to act like orthographic views.

To an Engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

Threw me off since I never use perspective views. :)
