I am editing a drawing that was already dimensioned by another user. Today when I attempt to dimension an item I am able to pick objects but the dimension will not pull. I asked the original user to try it on her computer and she had the same problem. No one here knows what the issue is. Can anyone help?

I tried and simulated your problem on one of my drawings. Try going to Tools\Options\Document Properties\Dimensions. Then click on *Automatically jog ordinates * Show dimensions broken in broken views * Arrows follow position of text. This might get you started. You may want to change other items in this location too.

What do you mean by "the dimension will not pull"?

The dimensions cannot be moved after they have been placed, or that you cannot place them where you want while creating them?

Thanks for the responses. To clarify. I click the dimension icon then click on a line. While the line changes color as if to acknowledge the function, no dimension line or distance is created. Typically as soon as you pick an item a dimension appears on screen. I am not having the problem with other drawings, just a particular one. Thanks again.

multi sheet and all sheets have the same issue.
