Can't select hidden line 1

First, I tried Stefan's search and couldn't find anything, even though I'm sure I just saw this problem.
Second, yes, I have 'Select hidden entities' checked.

However, I can't select a hidden line. Any thoughts?

Tools > Options > System Options > Display/Selection and set the options in the Selection of hidden edges section.

Did you try using shift when you tried to select?

BTW - it was in a drawing.
