Hello,
I'm mounting a piece of ITE equipment, 18 x 1.5 x 10 inches, approx. 7 lbs, using a mounting bracket on either end made from .125 aluminum. The brackets are L shaped and will be mounted on the ends of the unit and then mounted to uprights thus creating the cantilever. I need to know how to determine the stresses at the brackets and if tearing is a possibility...or to perhaps calculate what the max weight the brackets can handle.
TIA
Cherkey
Don't know if my little diagram will display correctly...
