if we have a steel cantilever column and wood sheathed shear wall at the same line/Grid line as combination of lateral resisting system. what R(Response Modification factor) value to be used? the least R value for both lateral resisting system?

the cantilever column is added for strength in the other direction and to avoid cantilever diaphragm.

the structure meets requirements of ASCE7-16 section 12.2.3.3 (Exception) so can we use R=2.5 for cantilever column and R=6.5 for Wooded Sheathed shear wall?

Are you a student? make up your mind, and don't double post.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

No I am not a student. It posted here mistakenly since I am new here and I don't know why removed my post from structural engineering general discussion?
