capacitor for motor

hi guys, why is it that a capacitor is not recommended to be tapped on OPEN TRANSITION motor controls, Y/D, PART WINDING, and any like controls?? i am asking its technical application.

in addition to, how to calculate the overload setting of the motor protection that is having a capacitor downstream to the overload relay?
