carbon workbench & FEA

i try to simulate stiffnes of a simple right angle plate
but i cannot get a clamp on the out side of the plate it always select the whole plate
altough i have defined some carbon layers
as a test in single ply (3to 5 plys) select as well i tried zone groups
up to 60 layers

i simple cannot do any calc since whole the plate get clamped

what am i doing wrong??
can some one help me please
