carburizing problem

Hi all,

Which one of stainless steel is more prone to carburization Austenitic or Ferritic?
Adding Aluminum will increase the carburization resistance?

Thanks in advance

Carburizing stainless steels runs the risk of reduced corrosion resistance. Kolsterizing is one such patented process, you may refer to it.

Aluminium addition is done for nitrided steels to get aluminium nitride layer and Aluminium has little effect in carburizing.
