Hi All,

We currently are using a Sun CKGB-XCN in our hydraulic manifold. It needs to be replaced and I am considering Eaton 4SK140-3-S based on part availability. The application specs (pressure, flow, etc.) seem to be a match but I am not familiar enough with size standards to know if they can be interchanged. Their dimensions look similar and both say T-17A cavity. Does this prescribe that they would be drop-ins for each other (like o-ring dash numbers)? Does the cavity size dictate this alone? I'm not familiar with any standards there may be.

We have a similar potential swap between Sun CKIV-XCN and Winner CK-10A-3C-03-N, cavities T-19A and 19A-3, respectively.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

The cavity numbers are standardised. A dimensional drawing for a T17A cavity is not too hard to find; same cavity number means the valves meant for that cavity number will fit. The T17A situation is clear. I don't know the significance of the "-3" in your latter situation, though.

Thank you, that is a big help.
