cast iron in diesel exhaust corrosion - quick inhibitor needed

I'm wondering what type of quick remedy (containment action) can be carried out to (not necesarily eliminate)help resist corrosion on a machined 4% silicon cast iron component that will be in a diesel engine exhaust stream. Any suggestions appreciated.
