Good morning guys, i have a question. I am looking to roller burnish a seal groove (inner groove). The part is made of cast iron, and after attempting to roller burnish the groove to give a better surface finish i could not see any difference in the surface finish.
It did show a very smaal improvement in surface roughness, but not the imporvement i was hoping to achieve! I am now wondering if the turning speed of the lathe or the force applied by the roller burnisher on the material is not high enough.
So if there are any suggestions please let me know.
