Cast to machine surface stack up

Hello All,
I am looking for a worked out example of a cast to machined surface stack up. Or any resources would be helpful.

The only thing that I have found is this example. But I’m not sure I am computing it correctly.

What are you trying to do? If that were my part, I would call up datum features on the casting, and use them on all subsequent fabrication processes. Consider adding datum target features to the casting.

Your datum feature[ ]A has a profile tolerance of 0.5 with respect to the casting datum features. That is your tolerance stack. You understand that a profile tolerance of 0.5 is sort of approximately [±]0.25, right?
