I don't know if this is too simple of a question. I'm new in manufacturing engineering and need to order some casters for some carts. They will be loaded to around 2000 pounds and the floor is painted concrete so I was looking for something with floor protection. We were also hoping to use these carts as storage. I was looking for information on the performance of different caster wheel types but have not found much detailed information. Does anyone know where I could find this kinf of information?

There are about as many caster styles, types, and capacities as ther are Eng-Tips members.

I would look at the Urethane Wheel types.
Never skip on the capacity of caster as operations will always overload it.

Here is one we used a lot of.

Here is the Thomas Register page for casters.
