casting of anchor bolts

i recently came across a site with the best anchor bolts i have ever seen for looseness (position too!) the foreman told me his secret was to put densa tape (like an adhesive foam tape) round the square base of the anchor bolts. he said the bolts required very little cracking the next day.
it made my job (steel erection engineer) a whloe lot easier and id like to pass it on
