Hi all. I am busy creating catalogs for a rather large library of parts. The library is structured to have each diffirent type of part in its own folder. eg. "L:\fasteners\bolts" & "L:\Fasteners\nuts". I would like to keep this structure in stead of having catia saving these parts to the folder of the product which i'm working in. I like to keep my project small with all my standard parts kept together in one place. Q. Can this be done, and how?? ps. I'm not only creating fasteners, there are plenty more other catagories. Thankyou.

Libarary (V4) or Catalog (V5)?
If it's a Catalog, you need to resolve all of the parts within your design tables. There is a function under the catalog editor to do this. What this will do is to go thru the design table and create a CATPart for each of the configurations.

Thankyou, I shall try it. And by the way, it was Catia V5.

I have tried and managed to get the catalog to create the parts for each configuration on the drive. The only problem I have is that it saves all different catalog parts to the same directory. Can one make each catalog save to it's own part folder?
