Catia 2D-CGR View 2

Hi,

My new job task is to update a 2D file.
I 've found a view (please, see the picture below) on which the "View Generation Mode" is set to CGR.
I found that trying to modify the Overload Properties:

My question is:
- What reason would have had the previous user to choose the option of CGR instead of "Exact view" (like in the picture below)?

Hi

Two which are coming quickly in my mind...

1. He/she didn't have the native CATIA files available, he/she had only cgr available
2. Huge assembly, so user didn't want to lose time for exact view generation.

Thanks Ferdo,
None of the assumptions are to be considered: the assembly is very small and our company uses Catia files (no history in this company so far of using CGR files instead of Catia files.....).

Most likely, it was a mistake.....

Do all the surface boundaries show up nice with exact view? I have seen some use approximate or cgr to get a nicer looking view.
